South Africa 2016
A collection of photos from our honeymoon at Samara Private Game Reserve in the Karoo, South Africa. We spent a week doing game drives and bush walks through some of the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen — and the wildlife obliged with some unforgettable encounters.
She appeared out of the Karoo scrub at Samara Private Game Reserve, all legs and ears, glancing back as if checking whether we were worth worrying about. We weren't — but she wasn't taking any chances.
Photographed at Samara Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. The dense Karoo undergrowth made a perfect backdrop — and the bird sat still just long enough.
We approached a group of White Rhino on foot, the wind changed and they came to investigate... this particular individual got the closest!
Two zebra gently nuzzle each other in Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa
Woke this lion up as we drove past at Addo Elephant Park, luckily he took his time to get up so I could get my camera out!
Perched on top of a bush like he owned the place, surveying his territory with what I can only describe as professional disapproval. The orange legs and beak are even more vivid in person.
The giraffes were surprisingly difficult to get shots of, but this one finally turned around to have a look at us.
